Ha Ha Ha

This past week I went with my parents, grandparents, wife and mother in law to the tiny town of Galena, Illinois. It's one of those historic towns with a surprisingly hip and diverse drag of boutique shops. But, of course, Galena would not be a tourist destination if it were not for the essential funny t-shirts shop. Although most of the sayings were cliche, my favorite was a 70s retro shirt showing a guy holding to mugs of beer and reading Draft Beer, Not Me!

Clutter

When people ask me why I do not have children the answer is simple. I hate kids. Ok, that isn’t entirely true. It’s that kids are expensive and their stuff will quickly clutter up my flat and that constant mess will drive me insane. From strollers to toys, their stuff will slowly accumulate and infect one room at a time until it gets to the point that it looks like Toys ‘R Us threw up all over my apartment.

Saddle Up

I hate horseback riding. It is not that I do not like horses. In fact, going horseback riding in the heart of the Rocky Mountains or along a secluded beach is really quite nice. It is just that horse back riding hurts – both your back and every other part of your body. Regardless of the type of saddles used, if one thing is for sure it is that the next week my entire body will hurt.

Knight Nick

Ever since a little boy I have always had a dream that someday, when I grow up, I would take up the noble cause of being a knight. Granted, as time goes on and reality continues to set in, this Monty Python dream becomes more and more distant, there is no excuse to at least not pretend. With a suit of armor, now you can suit up and at least be a brave knight in the privacy of your own home.

More Work, Less Time

It can be a real pain in the ass to have to coordinate your mobile phone, Blackberry, laptop and MP3 player. You only have to hands and all too often you need at least three to get the job done – even with the help of the latest technology. Bluetooth was created to help link these various media formats. And with Bluetooth speaker phones you can take a big step to getting everything done at once.

Upgrade my Music

Compact Discs are a thing of the past. Today, every thing musical is digital and, for the most part, it seems that all digital music is somehow associated with Apple. From the iTunes store to the plethora of ipods and ipod accessories available, if you do not have an Apple, you are simply living in the vinyl era an in need of an upgrade.

Save Money

Everybody loves to take photos and to save money. The benefit of taking photos in the digital age is you no longer have to worry about such nuances as costs of film. On the other hand, you now end up taking more pictures – which translates into higher costs for developing your pictures. But, using such Internet sites as Snapfish, you can save money, especially when using Snapfish coupons.

On the Cheap

Gas prices are out of this world. The stock market sucks and the economy has left a bit to be desired. Add to this the fact the United States dollar has become pocket change in Europe and it is looking like the “perfect” time for a summer holiday vacation. But, it is summer and traveling we must go. So why not save some money by checking into cheap hotels as you make your way across the vacation map?

Fix'n Time

Summertime is the time to fix those long neglected home repairs. From the leaky faucet to the torn screen to that annoyingly squeaky door – there is always something that needs to be fixed. With the right door hardware, you can quickly fix that squeaky door hinge and be on your way to a cold beer next to the pool, that is if your refrigerator is working and the pool pump is not broken…
